Can I review or undo a batch?

Yes. Every item in a session is individually editable — open it, fix the field, or mark it archived. The activity log records who added it and when.

Heads up: If a batch partially fails (e.g., network drop), items already saved remain in the list. Resume scanning — no cleanup needed.

Why did the system slow down after many scans?

There's a per-minute add limit. If you scan very fast, wait a moment and retry — it's a safeguard, not a bug.

What condition values exist?

ConditionMeaning
NEWBrand new, tags on (if applicable).
NEW_OTHERNew without original packaging or tags.
USED_EXCELLENTNearly new. No visible wear.
USED_GOODMinor wear, fully functional. Most common.
USED_FAIRNoticeable wear. Still sellable.
FOR_PARTSNot functional or heavily damaged. Sold as-is.
Tip: Condition is never locked — change it any time.

Scanning tips & shortcuts

How do I scan items quickly?

  • Keep the intake screen open — each scan adds a new row immediately.
  • Use a Bluetooth scanner; it types the SKU directly into the field.
  • Set a default condition and bin before you start so most rows need no editing.
  • Use the keyboard: Tab to the next field, Enter to confirm.

What if a scan fails?

  1. Re-scan once — most failures are transient.
  2. If it still fails, type the SKU manually.
  3. If the SKU is unknown, add it as a new item with a temporary description; fix later.

Can I set defaults for a whole batch?

Yes — before scanning, choose a default condition, bin, and source. Every new row starts with those values; change individual rows only where needed.

Tip: For large batches, sort by bin after intake and confirm counts match what you physically have.

Ready to intake a batch?

Open intake, set your defaults, and start scanning. Every row is editable, so mistakes are cheap to fix.
